DR. DAVID ANG
Dr. David Ang is a Professor and Department Head of Information Systems in the College of Business at Auburn University Montgomery. He teaches courses in Decision Support Systems and Information Systems. His research and academic interests are primarily in areas pertaining to the strategic dimensions of Decisions Support Systems and Information Systems Management -- in particular, Managing Industrial Systems and Information Technology, Decision Support Systems, Enterprise Resource Management, and Business Analytics.
His professional interests led him to a job in the manufacturing and servicing industry, where he was a research engineer and decision support systems engineer, and a software developer before joining AUM. Ang has published more than 70 refereed journal articles and conference proceedings articles in his research and academic interest areas. He has been an active member of MIS, DSI, INFORMS, and POM. He has been very active in chairing and organizing international academic conferences. He has been very active with campus governance and the local community. He served on many campus and college of Business committees such as the Faculty Senate and University Scholarship Committee, chairing the University Teaching Effectiveness Committee, University Academic Standard Committee, University Faculty Welfare Community, and College of Business, Strategic Planning Committee, Faculty Development Committee AACSB Self-Study Accreditation Committees.
He serves on Montgomery Public School Systems Academy Advisory Board, Montgomery SE YMCA Board, and actively and organizing Alabama Council for Technology in Education Annual Statewide Technology Competition for Grade 3-12 and actively participating in Montgomery Alabama Chinese Community and AUM Confucius Institute activities and events.
